Pull Apart Bread

This Pull Apart Bread is made with rye flour and it is garlicky, cheesy. Made using Thermomix.

Equipment

  • Thermomix, Oven
  • Cast Iron Pan or Rectangle Tin

Ingredients

  • 260 grams Plain flour (all purpose flour)
  • 60 grams Rye flour
  • 65 grams butter unsalted
  • 55 grams eggs about 2
  • 140 ml whole milk
  • 1 packet instant dry yeast
  • 10 grams sugar use white or brown
  • 10 grams salt
  • 125 grams mild cheddar cheese finely grated
  • 60 grams parmesan cheese grated, use thermomix to grate.
  • 2.5 tbsp butter for stuffing
  • 2 cloves garlic finely chopped
  • 1 tsp crushed black pepper or to taste
  • 1 tsp red chilli flakes or to taste
  • 2 sprig fresh thyme

Instructions

  • In the mixing bowl add in the butter and melt on 60C/140F for 2 minutes of speed 2. 
  • Now add in the milk, sugar, salt and yeast and activate it on 37C/98.6F for 2 minutes on speed 2.
  • Now add in the flour and eggs, knead on kneading function for 3 minutes. Check if the dough has come together or give 1 more minute.
  • Keep the dough in the mixing bowl to rise in a warm place for at least 1 hour or it becomes double in size.
  • For the stuffing melt the butter, add in the garlic, salt, black pepper, chilli flakes and thyme. Keep it aside.
  • Knock the risen dough, knead it for about 2 minutes to make a small round. Add the finely grated cheddar cheese and fold it in the dough properly.
  • Make small balls about 40g each and line them in circles your baking tin. Spread the melted butter, garlic mixture on the top generously. Sprinkle the parmesan cheese.
  • Cover the pan with tea towel and let it rise for another 30 minutes. Bake it for 30-40 minutes in preheated oven on 180C/350F.
    Serve warm!
